Executive Team

Cricket Colombia’s Executive Committee sits at the heart of a defining transition for the sport in the country. What began as a passionate, volunteer-led ecosystem is now evolving into a more structured, accountable, and internationally aligned institution.

The committee is not just responsible for running cricket today. It is shaping what cricket in Colombia becomes over the next decade. That means balancing immediate execution with long-term institution building. It means creating systems where there were none, bringing clarity where roles once overlapped, and building credibility with both national authorities and international bodies like the International Cricket Council.

There is a deliberate shift underway. Governance is being separated from execution. Decision-making is becoming more defined. Accountability is no longer informal. This is what allows Cricket Colombia to move toward ICC recognition, Ministry alignment, and eventually the formation of a formal national federation. At the same time, the focus on the ground remains unchanged. More matches. More players. More regions. More opportunities.

The Executive Committee operates as the engine of that reality.

What This Team Is Driving

Cricket Colombia is not operating in a mature ecosystem. It is building one. That brings a very specific set of priorities:

  • Moving from informal, volunteer-led coordination to defined roles and accountability
  • Expanding domestic cricket beyond a few cities into a truly national footprint
  • Rebuilding and scaling women’s cricket with real structure, not just events
  • Creating youth pathways through schools, universities, and grassroots programs
  • Supporting the formation of legally recognized clubs and, eventually, regional leagues
  • Aligning governance, reporting, and structure with ICC expectations
  • Preparing the ground for a Colombian Cricket Federation in line with national sports regulations

This is not theoretical work. It shows up in tournaments being organized, players getting selected, partnerships being formed, and systems slowly taking shape.

Our Commitment

Cricket Colombia is committed to building something that lasts.

  • A system where clubs, not individuals, anchor the sport
  • A pathway where a young player can realistically see progression to national level
  • A structure where women’s cricket is embedded, not an afterthought
  • A governance model that stands up to international scrutiny
  • A community that reflects both local Colombian talent and the diverse cricketing population in the country
