Board Members

Cricket Colombia’s Board represents the highest level of governance within the organization. It exists to provide direction, oversight, and accountability, without becoming involved in day-to-day operations. As Cricket Colombia transitions into a more structured and institutionally aligned body, the role of the Board becomes critical. It ensures that the organization stays true to its long-term vision, operates within defined governance frameworks, and meets the expectations of national authorities and the International Cricket Council.

The Board does not run cricket activities. It does not manage tournaments, select teams, or execute programs. Its responsibility lies in asking the right questions, setting the right direction, and holding the executive accountable for delivery. This separation is intentional. It creates clarity. It protects integrity. It allows people executing the work to focus, while ensuring there is independent oversight guiding the broader journey.

Members

The Board is composed of individuals who bring credibility, independence, and a deep commitment to the growth of cricket in Colombia. Members are appointed to act in the best interest of the sport, not in representation of individual teams or regions. They are expected to challenge constructively, guide strategically, and uphold governance standards that reflect a maturing national sports body.

Role of the Board

The Board operates with a clear and defined mandate:

  • Set the long-term strategic direction of Cricket Colombia
  • Approve budgets and oversee financial discipline
  • Ensure compliance with governance, legal, and regulatory frameworks
  • Safeguard the integrity of the organization’s structure and decision-making
  • Provide independent oversight of executive performance

It is not the role of the Board to execute. Its value lies in perspective, judgment, and accountability.

Governance & Responsibility

Cricket Colombia is still building its institutional foundation. That makes governance sharper, not softer. The Board operates on principles that protect that foundation:

  • Clear separation between governance and execution
  • Independence from operational decision-making
  • Accountability to the broader cricket community
  • Transparency in decisions and financial oversight
  • Merit-based leadership and structured evaluation

The Board’s responsibility is to hold that structure in place as the organization grows.
